APC Symmetra Power System
Uninterruptible Backup System for American Power Conversion (APC)

When APC wanted to design a UPS for corporate data centers, they called in Bleck Design Group. The size of the systems needed by data centers varied greatly. The challenge was to create a flexible system that could be user-upgradeable, with the fewest number of custom parts and a short manufacturing lead time. Bleck Design Group created a modular system that could be built within a few hours. Its stacking design with easy to load bays has hot swappable battery packs, power supplies and control systems along with a patented connector to handle high power requirements. This design allowed one set of component SKU’s in the factory that could be configured many ways.
After the market matured the Symmetra product line design was revised to a new front panel design and packaging. This design utilized extruded aluminum channels with modular plastic panels that create a range of cabinet sizes.

nGenius® Probes
Network Monitoring Device for NetScout Systems

NetScout is the world’s leading provider of integrated network and application performance management solutions. Bleck Design Group was asked to develop a front panel design to project the Netscout brand. The design projects the high quality and advanced technology inherent in the product. The high airflow requirements are integrated into the design without detracting from the balanced design.
We provided industrial design, mechanical engineering and sourcing for this design.
Network Engines

Network Engines wanted a signature design to grab the markets attention as it went public. Bleck Design Group developed this compelling design and had it in production is just four months. We created a tightly coordinated team with our molder and the client. Extremely high airflow requirements for six fans became the foundation of the unique design.
