Aqua Logic Floating Spa Remote

Goldline asked Bleck Design Group to design a new remote control for built-in pools and spas. It had to be attractive, easy to use and durable. Bleck Design Group developed this design to look like aquatic fun and be intuitive for users. The round soft-edge design floats face up and it is waterproof to five meters. The round shape is tough and will not get stuck in pool scuppers. The plastic material was chosen to withstand extreme chlorine and UV light.

The housing design creates a two chamber enclosure with the electronics and radio in the front half and the batteries in the back. The once per year battery change does not disturb the seal on the electronics. A built in pressure membrane responds to large temperature changes and maintains optimum atmospheric pressure.

This water proof and compact wired remote control is designed to easily install in wide range of outdoor locations. The plastic case uses over-molded elastomeric plastic on a clear shell to create a durable housing. Bleck Design Group provided concept development and initial engineering development.

APC Professional SurgeArrest

The original APC Surge Arrest was designed in1990 and is still in production today. It has been produced in several variations for a family of products. How can a design stay relevant for nearly twenty years? The industrial design was based upon the expression of function in the form. The round and dominant form contains the power protection circuits while the rectangular area is for distribution. The design expresses the two fold function through the contrasting visual forms. Many years of sales for a timeless design is a testament to Bleck Design Group’s simple-direct-intuitive design philosophy.

SurgeArrest® Home/Office This APC product was designed to meet the changing needs of office equipment that use wall transformers. The design was created around maximizing the number of transformers and cords that can be plugged in. The design continues the form contrast between power and distribution.

APC Travel Power is a universal power adapter. The design was developed to be compact and visual blend with a wide range of laptops. The contrasting color stands out in hotel rooms and helps prevent a "left it behind" event.
